Although I am a Mac man here in my little blogosphere, (iMac, iPhone, iPad – the holy trinity of Apple) I, like so many others, am forced to use a Windows PC at work. A Windows XP PC at that. Photo Stream is not the Workflow you Expected
Since it came out at the end of 2011, there has been a lot of negativity about iCloud’s Photo Stream service. Most of the disappointment stems from some of the apparent limitations of Photo Stream, particularly around the ability to delete photographs (you can only delete the entire stream of nada. Forget trying to weed out individual snapshots of your ignoring toe nails). And limitations with respect to the total number of photos stored (Photo Stream holds 1000 of your most recent photos for a maximum of 30 days). WordPress on iDevices
I like WordPress. I use it for this blog. I have used other blogging tools. I don’t like them. I like WordPress. Sure it takes a bit of fiddling to get posts to look gorgeous. Sure I spent a few dollars on a premium theme to help with that. And of course I don’t understand what all the functionality available is but I’m sure it’s cool. When it becomes uncool is when I try to use Word on the iPad (or worse iPhone). I want it to be a cool experience so that I can pump out more drivel for the masses to devour. But it’s not cool. Snapseed – iPad App
I have been a wanna be photographer for quite a while now. My wife bought me a 35 mm Canon SLR when we got engaged and I have had various point and shoot digitals and a Nikon DSLR (until recently – see Twitter feed!). Anyway, the other night, while browsing through the app store I thought I would give Snapseed a shot. I use Aperture on the iMac but wanted something that I could tweak photos that ended up on my iCloud Photo Stream from any of my devices. I wasn’t disappointed. Read More…
